More research and studies: In order to increase the
quality and efficiency of services in the local
operational context, more research and studies in
waste management should be undertaken. SWMRMC
should work with the institutions which are educating
urban planners at various universities in Nepal.
Short-term and long-term planning: In order to
implement effective solid waste management in the
municipalities, all municipal administrations could
formulate short-term and long-term plans for waste
management. Every municipality could employ one
urban planner for overall urban development planning.
